Hunting for sedentary Romania: hunting periods and techniques, hunting tradition.

Romania: the locals have not developed real hunting techniques for species such as pheasant, gray partridge and hare being historically more interested in large game.

Consequently, the mixed hunting of the aforementioned sedentary game in Romania is carried out with the help of pointing or hunting dogs, borrowing the hunting techniques of Western Europe.

For the pheasant it is allowed to hunt only the male pheasant.

The hunting period in Romania for partridge and pheasant runs from 1 October to the end of January; from 1 November and up to the same date it is possible to hunt hare, which although not particularly numerous is a pleasant variant of hunting in Romania.
